What is women's knitwear at Tom Tailor made from?

Many pieces are made from cotton or cotton blends, which feel comfortable against the skin and are also a good choice for the in-between seasons. Viscose blends drape more softly, while wool or cashmere content adds extra warmth. Yarns such as feather yarn or bouclé give the knit a fluffy finish. Some pieces in the collection are made with organic cotton, recycled fibres or LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose.

How should you care for knitwear?

To help your knitwear keep its shape for longer, treat it gently. The care label has the exact instructions, but as a general rule:

• wash at 30 °C on a delicates or wool cycle, ideally inside out
• do not tumble dry
• dry flat and reshape while still damp
• store folded rather than on a hanger so the shoulders don't stretch out of shape

How do you style women's knitwear?

A knitted jumper goes just as well with jeans as with tailored trousers or a skirt. Wider-cut jumpers look balanced paired with slim trousers or with the front loosely tucked into the waistband. A blouse worn under a jumper or sleeveless jumper, with the collar peeking out, creates a layered look for the office. Wear cardigans open over a T-shirt or top, and in spring over a dress as well. Knitted tops can be worn on their own or under a cardigan.
